For innovative and efficient materials:
VACUUMSCHMELZE wins its first iF material award
Hanau / Frankfurt – VACUUMSCMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (Hanau) was entered for the iF awards of the International Forum Design in Hanover for the first time in 2009 – and promptly won one of the coveted awards in the ‘material’ category. The materials submitted are evaluated on the basis of their innovation, the environmental impact of their manufacture and use and their potential for development. The VAC entry was the contact spring alloy DURACON^® 17A, which features extreme hardness, minimum bending radii, high temperature operation and outstanding relaxation behaviour without subsequent age-hardening.

VACUUMSCHMELZE will again present materials for the technologies of tomorrow at Nuremberg trade show 
Hanau / Frankfurt – The advanced magnetics company,  VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (Hanau) will again be present at this year's PCIM. At their customary location at Stand 130, Hall 12, the VAC team will again demonstrate the excellent position of the Hanau-based company in the important field of future technologies, presenting its portfolio of high-tech materials and products. This year the company will present the new range of UL1446-compliant common-mode chokes in addition to featuring its AC-DC differential current sensors.

VACUUMSCHMELZE debuts its materials expertise at Düsseldorf trade show Tube & Wire
Hanau / Frankfurt –VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (Hanau) will make a further trade show premiere when it debuts its materials expertise at Tube & Wire from 12 – 16 April 2010 in Düsseldorf. At Booth A40 in Hall 17, the Hanau-based company will present a selection of alloy materials that are anything but "off the shelf". VAC aligns the materials it produces to the needs of its customers, optimizing technological and price/performance aspects and supplying the finished products to the precise dimensions required. For the company's customers, this means outstanding flexibility in addition to the possibility to deliver high-grade, specialist materials even in batch sizes as low as 100kg.

VACUUMSCHMELZE presents rotor and stator assemblies made of VACOFLUX®/VACODUR® for high-performance electric motors and generators

VACUUMSCHMELZE presents new material DURACON® 45M
Hanau / Frankfurt - VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (Hanau) intro-duces a new member of its DURACON® family of iron/cobalt/nickel alloys. New DURACON® 45M, now supplied as solid material, offers features
including ultra-hardness plus outstanding heat conduction properties; because of this it is ideal for tool mould making, where high hardness has a favourable effect on the wear behaviour of the moulded parts. In addition, the thermal expansion behaviour of DURACON® 45M is identical to tool steels, significantly reducing the risk of stress cracking in tools.

VACUUMSCHMELZE to present VACOFLUX®/VACODUR® soft magnetic materials at Coil Winding Expo in Berlin
Hanau / Frankfurt - VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (Hanau) will at-tend Coil Winding in Berlin from 5 to 7 May. At the world's largest trade show for manufacturers of coil winding, insulation and electrical products, VAC will focus on presenting products from its Materials and Parts division. A key area at the VAC stand Number 4512 in Hall 2.1 will be rotor and stator cores designed for high-performance engines and made from cobalt-iron alloys VACOFLUX® and VACODUR®. These soft magnetic materials were developed specifically for use in high-efficiency electric engines and generators with low power dissipation such as those used in the aviation, motor sports and automation industries.
